Hope in Jesus

Jesus has freed us from the bondage and sin of this world. All you have to do is accept him as your personal savior. It does bring hope knowing that. Just sit down and really think about it. The all powerful creator of the universe is on your side and loves you so much He took the punishment for your sins. If you trust in him like you would trust a parachute, he has broken the chains of bondage to this cursed world.

...and from Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world.

All glory to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us. He has made us a Kingdom of priests for God his Father. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen. (Revelation 1:5-6)

I know that sometimes we wonder if He's really there as the problems of this world pound on us. He is there with us, walking just ahead of us and all we have to do is have the faith to take a couple of steps to go to him. He is always there, encouraging us to take the next step toward him.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Mathew 11:28-30)

Sometimes we are our worst enemy. God has conquered all our obstacles and is waiting for us to realize that they are gone. Meanwhile we sit in one place because we are convinced that there is something in our way.

And it will be said: "Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people." (Isaiah 57:14)

Problems are a reality in this world. But our time in this world is short. Compared to eternity it is like the blink of an eye. He is always there to lean on if you open your heart to him. We do have hope in Jesus.
