God’s Words of LIFE

Eternal Words of Encouragement

Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
Romans 15:4

The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
Psalm 145:14

Lord, You are near to all who call upon You, to all who call upon You in truth.
You will fulfill the desire of those [me] who fear You.
You will hear my cry and will save me.
Psalm 145:18-19

Do not rejoice against me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a Light unto me.
Micah 7:8

God, You are more abundantly willing to show to me, an heir of promise, the unchangeability of Your counsel; You confirmed it by an oath, that by two unchangeable things, in which it was impossible for You to lie, I might have a strong consolation.
Hebrews 6:17-18

“I, the LORD your God, am He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”
Deuteronomy 20:4

Blessed are You, LORD, who has given rest to Your people Israel, according to all that You promised. Not one word has failed of all Your good promise, which You promised by the hand of Moses Your servant.
1Kings 8:56

Life is Full of Trouble – But Don’t be Discouraged

by Clarissa Finley

I was just asked to pray for a young family today. The husband was unfaithful, and the couple with very young children was contemplating divorce. At the same time, I received a phone call to pray for a tumor in a woman’s neck and I received a letter asking me for a donation for a food project for desperately needy people.
No doubt about it, life is hard. We will all face troubles and problems in this world. But God has not left us defenseless. God’s Word is our sword to fight the evil one the enemy of our soul. After all, when Jesus was on earth and was confronted with the evil one He said to Satan, “It is written…” and defeated the evil one by the word of His mouth. And that Word is given to us to speak out loud as a sure defense in our time of trial.
It is God’s will for you to be a conqueror and overcome the many hard parts of life. Jesus Christ won’t allow anything to separate us from his strong loving and saving grace.
“Who is it that overcomes the world? “Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” [1John 5:5]
